Music icon Sir Elton John will visit Melbourne for the very last time in December 2019 and February 2020. The legendary performer will deliver his variety of hits with his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour. Sir Elton John was recently crowned by Billboard magazine as the most successful performing male solo artist of all time. The Sir Elton John Concert promises to be a memorable event.

 

What to expect during the Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour

During Sir Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, he will perform his famed songbook to spellbound audiences. Songs such as ‘Bennie and the Jets’, ‘Rocketman’, ‘Tiny Dancer’, ‘Crocodile Rock’, ‘Philadelphia Freedom’ and more are showcased during this musical masterpiece.

The milestone itinerary comprises of more than 300 shows across five continents, spanning three years.

Audiences will experience a rare glimpse into Sir Elton John’s life, and the deeply personal meaning behind some of his most iconic songs. There will be mesmerising, never-before-images and videos displayed throughout the show.

Complete with a new stage production, the tours wardrobe has been designed by Italian fashion house Gucci.

Elton will be joined on stage by long standing band members Nigel Olsson on drums, esteemed music director Davey Johnstone on guitar, Ray Cooper on percussion, Matt Bissonette on base, John Mahon on percussion and Kim Bullard on keyboards.

 

When will Sir Elton John perform the Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour in Victoria?

To start his mammoth Victorian show roster, Sir Elton will perform at Day at the Green on the 7th of December. Sir Elton John will then perform at Rod Laver Arena on December 10, 11, 14 and 15.

In response to the enormous demand and hot on the heels of the global success of the Rocketman musical fantasy, Sir Elton will return to perform additional shows at Hanging Rock on 25 January and 26 January 2020 and at AAMI stadium on Saturday 22 February.

There will also be winery shows at A Day on the Green on 29th of January, 31st of January and the 1st of February 2020.
