Alexander Calder Kids Workshop at the National Gallery of Victoria

Alexander Calder’s exhibition – The Radical Inventor – is new to the National Gallery of Victoria this winter. It includes an interactive workshop specifically designed for kids. The workshop allows young ones to design and create their own animal artworks through a virtual game, which then transposes into real-life sculptures. Entry for kids is free and runs alongside the main exhibit, ensuring that minds of all ages are inspired.

Dino Park at Melbourne Zoo

Melbourne Zoo have partnered with the creators of Erth Visual & Physical Inc to present Dino Park. It is a unique walk-through experience where you will see these prehistoric creatures come to life. Fine out how these beasts evolved into the animal that we know today and how you can help fight the extinction of this dinosaur’s relative. Be prepared to get up close and personal with the roving dinosaur’s!

Terracotta Warriors and Cai Guo-Qiang Exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria

Live curiously with the whole family and discover the wonder and beauty of the Terracotta Warriors. The new exhibit landing at the National Gallery of Victoria features archaeological artefacts of Ancient China alongside the contemporary works of Cai Guo-Qiang. OZ Comic Con at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre

Comic Con is described as the ultimate pop-culture convention. With exhibitors from film, television, comic art and gaming coming together to showcase their spectacular media creations. This year’s annual Comic Con event has heaps of fun exhibits to appeal to the entire family. This includes interactive gaming demonstrations, cosplay competitions and merchandise stalls. Special guests such as Dolph Ziggler, Willa Holland and Jorge Molina will also be in attendance.

Hardrock Indoor Rock-climbing

Described as Melbourne’s best indoor rock climbing centre. Hardrock offers two main walls (up to 16 metres high) that a one-off entry fee will grant unlimited climbing all day – even with a pass out. Group bookings are welcome and first-time climbers can even take advantage of newbie introduction sessions. These sessions will ensure each member of the family is climbing safely in no time.
