We caught up with new Western Bulldogs draft and Holiday Inn ambassador Jake Stringer to see how he’s settling in on his second day on the job.

After five years with the Bendigo Pioneers, eighteen year old forward/midfielder Jake Stringer has been drafted by the Western Bulldogs with high hopes for the 2013 season.

He describes the moment his name was called as “a big rush”, saying it’s been an exciting few months since being tipped for the draft earlier in the year.

As a partner of the Bendigo Pioneers in 2012, Holiday Inn has provided team members and their families with inner city accommodation throughout the season and Ambassador Jake says he’s grateful for the support.

Looking to the future, he says he’ll be concentrating on getting ready for the pre-season in February with his fellow bulldogs and is adjusting to living in the city.

“I’m just really looking forward to next year and hopefully I’ll get a chance to play an AFL game,” he says.
