Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival
The Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival is undoubtedly the highlight of the horse racing calendar in Australia. The carnival like atmosphere brings together the very best of Australian and International thoroughbreds for 50 days of world-class horse racing action. The showcase event of the spring racing carnival is the four day Melbourne Cup Carnival held at Flemington racecourse from Saturday November 3 to Saturday November 10 2018.
The Melbourne Cup Carnival is where the best dressed also come out to play and this year is no different. The year, fun meets fashion in an electrifying atmosphere, as Flemington racecourse plays host to not only the race that stops the nation, but also fashion events, competitions and more.
Following the great success of the Park in 2017, the Park will be open to all guests at the 2018 Melbourne Cup Carnival. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – Parts One and Two
If you are a big Harry Potter fan, get your wands ready as Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is coming to Melbourne’s Princess Theater from January 2019.
For those that do not know, it is a sequel to the series and is based on on a story written by JK Rowling herself.It is presented in two parts and can be seen on the same day or across two consecutive days.
The play follows the friends 19 years after the battles at Hogwarts. While Harry grapples with the troubles of his past, his son Albus struggles with living in the shadow of his famous father.
The cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has been announced!
Theatre goers will be thrilled with the cast being lead by Gareth Reeves as Harry Potter, Paula Arundell as Hermione Granger, Gyton Grantley as Ron Weasley. Secondary cast members includes Lucy Goleby as Ginny Potter, Sean Rees-Wemyss as Albus Potter, Tom Wren as Draco Malfoy and William McKenna as Scorpius Malfoy.
Dates to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Preview performances are due to start on 16 January 19 and regular performances from 25 February 19.

Based on the hit film, this musical follows dropout Dewey Finn as he is forced to make extra money by posing as a teacher at a prestigious prep school. Dewey teaches the students what it takes to be the best rock band of all time.
