Each of Melbourne’s iconic cultural institutions will again come alive with their own special programming and will open for extended hours. This year discover unique and exclusive experiences by the NGV, State Library, Arts Centre and Melbourne Museum.
New to the 2019 program will be enticing food and music offerings. Each offering will complement the event and showcase some of Victoria’s best local produce and talent.
What is the White Night Feast?
On Thursday the 22nd of August the Royal Exhibition Building comes alive with a no-holds-barred celebration of Winter. Everything that you love about the season comes together in the city in a glammed-up feast.
Three of Victoria’s most impressive chefs are on the case and are going full-tilt. The banquet kicks off with Vue de Monde chef Hugh Allen, which then segues into the luxury European country comfort with Annie Smithers of Du Fermier. Then surrender to the syrup drenched enchantments of Melbourne’s queen of desserts, Phillipa Sibley.
Which Major Cultural Institutions will be participating in Reimagined White Night 2019?
The Arts Centre Melbourne, Melbourne Museum, National Gallery of Victoria and the State Library will be offering different programs through the event.
