Parents, guardians and family members, we know how challenging the last 6 months have been to keep children entertained. It has especially been hard during the school holidays to put together a list of things to do that the kids haven’t already done! Our team have rounded up some virtual school holidays activities that are appropriate for children of all ages.
SEALIFE Melbourne Aquarium
SEA LIFE Holiday Camp
SEALIFE Melbourne Aquarium are holding their first ever school holiday camp! It allows children to discover information about aquatic animals and their habitats. This will be conducted via series of interactive sessions with marine expects. Each three hour session will focus on a different animal and includes plenty of time to ask questions!
The dates and topics that will be discussed are:
Monday 21 September (9am – 12pm): Penguins
Tuesday 22 September (9am – 12pm): What makes a fish?
Wednesday 23 September (9am – 12pm): Sharks and rays
Thursday 24 September (9am – 12pm): Penguins
Friday 25 September (9am – 12pm): Reptiles and the Rainforest
Monday 28 September (9am – 12pm): Penguins
Tuesday 29 September (9am – 12pm): What makes a fish?
Wednesday 30 September (9am – 12pm): Sharks and rays
Thursday 1 October (9am – 12pm): Penguins
Friday 2 October (9am – 12pm): Reptiles and the Rainforest
The cost for the camp session is $49.00 per child per session and the camp activities kit is $93.00 (including postage). The camp can be booked via the SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium website.
It promises to not only be a fun but also educational virtual school holidays activity.
LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Melbourne
Boredom Busters
LEGOLAND Discovery Centre are delivering daily Boredom Buster challenges for kids to enjoy at home. The Boredom Busters will be available for free through their website and Facebook page. The kit is made up of videos, worksheets and virtual school holidays activities to inspire kids to have fun.
The Boredom Busters experience will be available during the Melbourne school holidays.
OTWAY FLY
Fairy Village
Although we can’t be there in person, the Otway Fly Treetop Adventures is still a hive of activity.
During these school holidays the fairies have chosen to make a magic nook their home. This magical village 20 tiny rustic homes vary in size from enchanted bungalows to multi-story houses. Kids will be able to virtually learn about the varies and also download fun fairy activities.
The Fairy Village experience will be available during the Melbourne school holidays and is complimentary.

Melbourne Libraries Online Story time
Are you looking for an online library that does the reading for you? The City of Melbourne have done the work and are uploading new videos to their website weekly.
Books that have been read by the librarians include the very hungry caterpillar among others.
